There is a new forum for the Art and Photography folks with a special kick.

Across the top you should see a link for "Album" this will take you to the public album as well as your own personal gallery.

Your personal gallery can be viewed by ANY registered member, there is also a voting and comments section for each picture.

There are some requirements though:

Can not be bigger than 800x600
Files no larger than 128K (scaling down to 72 dpi will help a ton)
No hot linking
PNG, GIF and JPG are only supported formats
Offensive images may NOT be uploaded, this includes nudity. VIOLATION OF THIS WILL RESULT IN BEING BANNED

I will look at adjusting these if needed after we get started.

thanks for this forum and the whole shebag too, soul. it looks awesome. glad we have an art&photo section here. anyway, expect more pictures from me soon. as soon as i stop being a lazy bum and get my act together ill have another album together on my webshots page and ill post it. they'll be of my neighborhood here in jersey, though i am moving soon

Can't wait to see more cool stuff from you guys. I'll post a few pics I took yesterday probably tomorrow cuz it's damn late...

and BLONG!! I'll post some pics I took today of my sister's salt water tank... thing... I took a ton of pics with you in mind hehe. Those damn nemo fish wouldn't pose for me though :\ But I got some decent ones of the things that just grow and don't swim... oh and they had a big yellow fish with one eye hahaha

hahaha thanks ilikemittens. actually taken pictures of clowns is very hard to do and requires alot of patience and many photos (thus use of a digi cam is a must). Clownfish dont stop moving.

Hey sould is there a limit on amount of pictures we can post or will that happen when room runs out?

also what exactly is hot linking? I think i know but i dotn want to assume and end up being banned cause i was wrong hehe.

WHAT IS HOTLINKING AND BANDWIDTH THEFT?
Bandwidth theft or "hotlinking" is direct linking to a website's files (images, video, etc.). An example would be using an <IMG> tag to display a JPEG image you found on someone else's web page so it will appear on your own site, journal, weblog, forum posting, etc.

Bandwidth refers to the amount of data transferred from a website to a user's computer. When you view a webpage, you are using that site's data transfer to display the files. Since web hosts charge based on the amount of data transferred, bandwidth is an issue. If a site is over it's monthly bandwidth, it's billed for the extra data or taken offline.

A simple analogy for bandwidth theft: Imagine a random stranger plugging into your electrical outlets, using your electricity without your consent, and you paying for it.

Yes, I think those rules applied to the albums/gallerys.

In general posts hotlinking I believe is acceptable....how else will I post those awesome BF2 screenies!!
