Bunny what I meant though was my sunset and sunrise pics are white suns, they never look like what I saw. Like one time I saw the sunset and the sun was a perfect little red ball, it wasn't too bright because I could look at it directly. But every time I tried to take a picture it was just a white, yellow, or orange area. No shape.

In that case you gotsta crank your exposure compensation down into the negative values. Try -2 or somesuch. This makes the whole scene darker but increasing shutter speed, resulting in a more defined sun and a silhouette effect on other object depending on their relation to the sun.

Alternatively you can go into manual mode, stop down your lens (higher f-stop), and increase your shutter speed to around the highest it will go.
