I miss my first generation olympus. I sold it for 50 bucks for a second generation Casio which I still have and I must say it blows, though black and white is decent, but you can only get 15 shots with normal batteries before they have to be replaced.
my first one was either I think the Olympus 200L or 300L http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/spec.../oly_d200l.asp

IT wasn't much but the pictures were always good.
I then bought the Casio QV-7000SX http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/spec...sio_qv7000.asp
nearly all color pictures are crap. the 1.2 effective pixels are crap because the of the method of interpolation. Bascially you set it to take the largest picture and it looks more like the smaller picure soomed in causing a loss of crispness and such... aww crap.. I miss my first generation olympus when I think about it... But all of this may soon change.

Want to see me date myself? My first camera was a Pentex K1000. The most manual camera every made IMHO....

The first camera I can recall ever using was the small camera that had the cubed flash bulb on top and it would fire, burn out and rotate for the next flash. I alwys thought it was the coolest thing.. But that was a family camera and doesn't count. My first camera was a completely manual Pentax. I'm not sure of the model number, but I had bought it well used in 1992

Regarding my last post, two posts above, last sentence..... It has changed. I just got the word today and I start my new job Thursday. I haven't worked since July 2002 and I'm extrememly excited. Once the debt is paid off I'll be getting a Honda Odyessey and a new digital slr. thinking Nikon D70 or the Canon EOS 20D above. I considered this forum the most proper forum to annouce my work establishment as the job I have landed is that of phorographer at Olan Mills. WOOT!
