it's funny how big a fire you get from one of those...no wonder people in other countries are always burning them. i mean, in a 3rd world country it's got to be a good way to stay warm in the cold
There is a whole ceremony to properly retiring an American flag. Burning and old flag is the proper why to retire one. It is kind of a humbling thing when it is done right. You look at the flag as a symbol of strength and freedom and when you see it burned it is kind of sad in a why.
I was sr. patrol leader when i left the scouts. I made damn sure that when i left, a certain person would never get it. He was defintely NOT leadership material.
