host
anyone know any good free places to host pictures online? don't tell me webshots because i said good and that sucks. it keeps insisting that im not connected to the net when i am so it wont upload. and when it does finally upload it randomly gives me the same ****. i have well over 100 pictures i want to upload

i thought i had to have the photos uploaded somewhere first. i upload right to here? how many photos can i have/how big can they be (my camera takes pix with enormous resolution)

They are limited to 800X600 and there is a size limit, but cant remember. You can upload them from your PC to you Album. Just go to the top of the page click on album, then personal album and click upload. I figured it out so it cant be that hard

hmm, i think im gonna lose lots of quality scaling down from 2000somethingXiforgetwhat to 800x600. (the res of the pictures is bigger than will fully fit on my monitor and im at 1400x1050)

The only other album type site I know of is photobucket.com. I don't upload as many pics there as I did to webshots. Webshots used to be nice - no pop ups and I hadn't reached the limit. But now "no pop ups" is a PREMIUM MEMBER feature, pshhh.

I think your best bet is your album here on FoS. My pictures are really large and I just have a PS action that resizes them... the quality loss isn't too horrible. If there's some pics you really want people to see the large version of, upload them to photobucket and link it!
