Rockstar Games Announces Red Dead Redemption

A sequel to the 2004 Western action game Red Dead Revolver will be released this fall, publisher Rockstar Games announced today.

Set at the turn of the 20th century, the Wild West game, titled Red Dead Redemption, will feature an open-world environment courtesy of the Rockstar Advanced Game Engine, also used by Grand Theft Auto 4.
"The team at San Diego have massively exceeded our expectations with the sheer depth of experiences in Red Dead Redemption," said Rockstar Games founder Sam Houser.
