Interesting.

BTW, it should be noted that any A64 should be able to easily surpass a 2.8Ghz P4 in gaming performance. So if you have a 2800+ A64 you should be in the clear.

hmm so this is saying my wifes pentium d 820 processor should run this game better than my amd 64 3500+? btw is it saying we need windows vista to run it?

The minimum OS is Windows XP.

And yes Blong, your wife's PD could be faster because it is a dual core. If a game is coded for dual cores properly (which most likely is since this is Crytek, one of the better coding places out there) then it should easily dust a single core processor.

i know, that's my point. mine kills the 820 now. just takes a little bit of overclocking. i'm at 3.5 ghz right now. if i felt like buying an aftermarket heatsink, people have gone up to 3.8. after 3.8 things start getting weird with XP. apparently XP doesnt like the FSB to be above 200 mhz.

it's crazy going from 2.66ghz stock to 3.5 though. and it wasnt hard at all. not sure how the 820 responds to overclocking though
