Isn't there a Quake Wars mod coming out first? I remember seeing some kind of demo movie of that one or something.

Of course, I'm much more looking forward to UT2007 coming out but that's me

Quake Wars: Enemy Territory is what those screens are.

Its a stand alone game, similair to Battlefield 2 in nature but set in the Quake universe.

It uses a heavily modified version of the Doom 3 engine, it supports the mega texture feature of the engine.

Mega texture is the use of gigantic texture (4096x4096 resolution) that are streched across the entire map basically. It uses some very advanced texture techniques so that the video card only actually needs 4mb of dedicated space for this one massive texture.

Increases performance and allows a much greater range of artistic control.

The game should be interesting. Its being developed by the same people who made Wolfenstien: Enemy Territory, which is a free game (note: Quake Wars will not be free) and very good.

I am just hoping that my old pc will run the game.
