This is based upon sales. Half-Life 2, while low on the list, is not in the top ten, but is in the top 20.

What crack smoking Foo came up with this list, Ok I'm willing to accept tribes 2 at number 67 in fact I'm surprised it ranked that high. I'm supriseed T1 did not rank.
But to have CS: Orginal, Halo, Battlefield 1942, Doom3, and HL 2 to be beaten out by Backyard Basket ball. I think we all see that the fix is in. Oh yeah, don't even get me started on Harry Potter and the Stone coming in at Number 4 all time.... Pah-Leese.

Again, its based entirely on sales.

They had a similair list for consoles.

Frankly this is actually very informative.

Now that I have look at the list some more someone tell me where Starcraft is, Ummm, Quake 1, 2, or 3. What about Doom 2, Possibly the godfather of all first person shooters. Duke nuk'em is also missing. I also notice that they mentioned 2 expansion packs; #12 "Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Expansion" and #46 "EverQuest: Shadows of Luclin Expansion Pack" but the orginal game never makes the list????? How is that even possible since you need to have the game to play any expansion pack????

OK the ranting is over.... for now.

Well I am shocked!!! I can't believe non of the Quake's made the list but I can see how Diablo II would be in the top 10. I didn't expect it to be number 2.

Here's the break down:

Based on sales ONLY.

SERIES based, so if a expansion shows up its representing the entire series.

21st century only.

One thing to note:

Blizzard freaking owns. Their lowest game on the list was number seven, plus they had two other games at numbers three and two.

Talk about rolling around in money, jesus. Lets not forget that Starcraft (didnt make list because before 2000) has out sold Warcraft III... I knew Blizzard sold a lot of games.... but OMGZ WOWZOR.

thats because blizzard is an awesome game maker who puts out games with very few bugs at start. I actually played diablo 1 and 2 all the way through. matter of fact I think I still have my diablo 1 character somewhere.

Yep I missed the 21 Century part. Eventhough they list games released in 2000. Umm that would still be part of the 20th century not the 21st.

My bottom line is I just find the list useless, Like saying we are going examine the road between New York and LA but only after we have passed the Missippippi.
