The photo/replay mode of all racing games (PGR3 for example on Xbox 360, and GTHD: Concept that these are taken from on the PS3) are always enhanced from the actual gameplay.

Its impressive, but a bit less so in game. To bad its only one car on screen at a time and the environments leave a lot to be desired.

Yup, exactly. Many games use the blur effect in the environment to give the appearance of a fast moving and smooth looking world.

The cool thing about the GT demo is that the car models are just out of this world, I really give Polyphonic (or whatever the development company is) their credit because its out of this world on how well they did. Its an early build of their engine that they are going to use for GT5. They pushed the limits way out of this world for GT4 on the PS2, so I fully expect them to be one of the companies that really extract as much power out of the PS3 as possible.

Hopefully the environments gets a lot better and the crowds are simply not cardboard textures (they do not move at all).
