Rainbow 6: Vegas Campaign

I don't own the game on the computer but I do play it online on the xbox 360 and I would just like to ask if anyone has tried doing the Realistic Difficulty on the Campaign? Its a pretty good game and tough to beat. I especially like how your life is. Its like CoD, you can only take so many hits at one time instead of having health. I think BF2 would be a much funnier game if it had this in it. Do you guys like having it to where your health regenerates? Or would you rather prefer having the standard health bar?

Yes its out for PC, but takes a pretty decent computer to run good or run at all.

I didn't think the campaign was that hard, it uses the Halo/COD health system which makes it pretty easy as long as you're smart about cover. Compared to the R6 games in the past it takes a lot less "thinking" but I believe that's for the good. The single player comes across as enjoyable and not just boring. I think it also handled the cover system extremely well and its one of the few squad based games I've ever enjoyed. Overall its pretty good, sadly the PC version does suffer from portism.

Lol, just meaning that you can clearly tell it was originally developed for the 360 and they did not do a very good port from the 360 to PC. I'm not sure if they used XNA to do this or not, but that would have at leasted helped a bit. XNA being development tools from Microsoft for creating games for both Windows and 360 and using mostly the same assets.

Ubi failed to port it in a manner that changed any menu or control...so its VERY evident when playing that the entire UI was built with the console in mind. That said, the actual gameplay is actually pretty darn good, but the menu's and the controls are amazingly annoying. My current biggest annoyence being that I have to go through a submenu to put a silencer on...I have to press and hold a button to bring up a menu and then move my MOUSE to the left...And then someone figured we wouldnt need to be able to see our pings to servers...And thats just the begining of the list.

They claim they are releasing a SADS...but its not around yet.

Now onto target the SP campaign. Yea its pretty good, the health system makes its stupidly easy on normal mode, though I got stuck about 1/4 of the way through on realistic because I get to impatient waiting behind cover to recover health. And the maps are as linear as they come and there are 10x the number of tangos. But its entertaining, and its even more so if you havnt played any of the previous R6 games.

Yeah i mean see, this is what makes the game different from all the other Rainbow Six games. Theres more enemies, its not like going one by one kill and being stealthy, yeah theres less thinking but, now you need to think more when theres multiple enemies. Yeah I too get impatient when waiting to kill those enemies. But, i think it just makes the game fair when your health regenerates when your in cover.

Sigh took me 5 minutes to figure out that SADS stands "for stand alone dedicated server".......it does mean that right?......

Start Automatic Display Script - basically, it turns your monitor on.
