Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Limited Edition and Preorders [March 23, 2007, 7:34 pm ET] - 1 Comment

Activision and id Software announce preorder details for Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars and word on a Limited Collector's Edition of the upcoming multiplayer shooter:
When: Pre-orders start on March 26th at Gamestop and on April 12th at Best Buy.

Why:
By reserving a copy of Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars in advance, fans can secure their preferred username, receive special edition collector’s cards, as well as an exclusive poster.

More Details:
§ Advance Username Registration: Get an exclusive keycode to reserve your preferred username now.
§ Collector’s Cards: Receive the first 2 cards in a set of 12, each featuring a different Strogg or GDF vehicle or deployable with game facts and tips. The remaining 10 cards will only be available in the Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Limited Collector’s Edition (see below).
§ Poster: There are two posters in all, with each retail location offering one exclusive poster each.

About the Limited Collector’s Edition:
Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Limited Collector’s Edition features premium packaging with a slipcase, as well as ten collector’s cards, available only through the Limited Collector’s Edition offer. In addition to the premium packaging and collectible cards, fans will receive a bonus DVD, complete with concept art and other cool stuff for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars’ biggest fans.

Exactly, I never pre-order. I don't see the point in laying down $10 to then simply take your name off the list (if possible) after someone gets it. Games are hardly ever in such great demand that you can't find them, at least PC games.

pft can only preorder from gamestop and Best Buy. No thanks ill go to walmart on release date and get it for $10 less than retail since they always have deals on new releases.

Just previewed this game on their website. Looks good...real good. I reviewed the system requirements, and I certainly meet the minimums but full just short on the recommened. Tell me what you think, can I play this game(without lagging etc) with what I have?


P4 2.0 ghz
768 mb ram
ATI Rad 9250 128mb

It will run and look like utter crap to be honest JT, or at least I would assume. Unless the Doom 3 engine scales incredibly better than I would imagine possible.

EDIT: Where exactly did you see those minimum requirements?

I have serious doubts that those are the real specifications. While I think you might be able to play the game, I believe the real requirements will be much more like the recommended that's listed on that page.
