Building a living universe requires worlds to evolve. Nature is not static, and neither is Stargate Worlds. As gameplay moves, the dozens of worlds represented in the universe will be affected by the actions of players and NPCs. Some of these worlds will be taken from the show, while others will be developed specifically for the game. These worlds will be transformed over time by conquest or civilization. Instancing will only be used when necessary for truly epic missions.
At launch, there will be dozens of planets, some taken from the series, but most original. Access to many of these worlds will be gated by completion of main story missions and character level. Most planets will feature shared content for all archetypes, but some will be limited by faction.

PvP combat will be a part of Stargate Worlds from launch. Players who want to take part in PvP play can do so in several ways. PvP areas will be gated by location, and there will be PvP-centric and PvE-centric servers.

When it comes to PvP, it will be similar to the base gameplay, with adjustments made to prevent constant crowd control states and stunlock. The goal of PvP is to take the cutting edge combat system of the game and add the unpredictability of human foes. While we have set the bar for our AI incredibly high, it is impossible to fully replicate the wide range of responses of a living opponent.

If a player doesn't want to take part in PvP, they will still be able to take part in a rich Stargate experience, but PvP fans will be in for an additional deep and exciting challenge.
