Unlocking "DirectX 10" in Crysis with WinXP
Well, it can't really be DirectX 10, but it does unlock the "Very High" video settings under WinXP and with DirectX 9 vid cards.
The Crysis SP Demo\Game\Config\CVarGroups folder has a bunch of .cfg files in it. Modify each (all) of these files as shown in the example below. The game menu will still show "Very High" grayed-out, but you will get the Very High rendering when playing.
