Add the site to your hosts file and point it to the loopback.

Ok I'm on a pc now so I can help you a little better

Path to hosts file: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

example:

# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 siteblongwantstoblock.com # blocks all browsers

I found this.....

Quote:
you could redirect it in your local HOSTS file
(Found in c:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\)

Just open the HOSTS file with notepad and add the following entry to the end:

127.0.0.1 www.bannedsite.com
It's not in browser but it will work I think.

Nice find LoPo, I quickly looked but didn't find that extension. Still the hosts file will block the site for everything including web browsers. Not to mention if you don't want a certain someone to not go to a site it'd be a hell of a lot harder for them to figure out the HOSTS file fix
