that's an awesome rig. i think you're gonna be very, very happy with it. as far as psu's go...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817151023

someday i'd like to trade in my neopower for one of these. the only downside to it is that the cables aren't sleeved, which is something you could do yourself if it matters.

First thing, I'd go with a more high end motherboard. Asrock makes that nice AGP/PCIe motherboard, but since you are getting a new PCIe graphics card there's no point in going with Asrock, there's much better quality motherboards out there. I'd go with something like the: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131584

That motherboard has two x16 PCIe slots which would allow you to do Crossfire down the line (two ATi graphics card) though IMO doing any of the Crossfire/SLI setups is rather stupid, that might be harsh but there are many potential problems with both, so I would personally go with this board: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813123258

IMO a better case could be choosen. Some dont care, but when you build a computer I think you should invest in a good case that has good air flow and a design that wont look cheesy after a month or two. Its personal perference though.

The rest looks really good to me.

You might want to think about theOpteron 165 CPU.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103588

For the Extra $33 you get Full 1mb L2 per core, and it overclocks nicely.

haha, that is harsh. if you like the look of that case go for it. just judging from the picture, airflow looks plenty good and the finish is nice. you probably won't need to use that 80mm fan on the side even.

personally, i wouldn't spend that much money on a case. and i never understood why so many people prefer aluminum cases. steel cases are usually sturdier and thicker so you'll get less noise and less vibration.

Aluminum is lighter, it will help temps a little as far as some parts like hard drive and the PSU, and I dont stand on my cases so I dont see the point of one having to withstand tons of weight.

I'm more of a fan of clean looking cases that have features that I care about, such as included fan filters. In fact my dream case is the Gigabyte 3D Aurora, so very nice.

O.k

Will get the Opteron instead and the Sea PS.

On the Mobo: Chem, will the two you suggest still support the HDs I've got? I know they are SATA, but the 3.0 Gb/S confuses me. The Mobo I had mentioned it specifically in the features part.

As for the case: yeah, that's pretty much personal taste. I must say I like the Gigabytes. Really I wanted something that had decent looks but with at least 2 120mm fans. Had a hard time finding some. Gigabyte has the 120mm fans
