Problems with Mic/Vent
A couple days now i can't seem to get my mic working sense i got back from the lan and i cant figure out whats wrong. Well i was on with Dutch just a couple minutes ago and he said he heard Heavy Metal German music...Which is what was playing. I was shocked to here that he could only here things that came from the computer but not my voice...i was really confused. So can anyone tell me what might be wrong with my settings? I mean with that whole "Key Click" that was off i get key clicks all the time from clicking "X" which is my button for talking. I get that i guess from not typing on nothing im sure you guys know what i am talking about. Anyways is there a certain settings im supposed to have on/off to work? Errrrr please help me.

But then again....My mic won't work on any UT games...I've tried all the slots for the mic but nothing! need help....errrrr.

Can you hear music? If you can't them they could be swapped (Audio In / Audio Out). You might double check the plugin for your mic and make sure it is correct. That would be the first thing to check.

Open up Volume Control and check under Recording, make sure that mic is selected and not wave.

check the audio card settings too. Some of them have a "smart jack" that can be configured for multiple things (headphones, or mic or line in etc) but you need to specify what it is.

Also, make sure all plugs are in properly. Easy to be stick one in only halfway.

do you have a webcam connected that has a mic on it ?

hehe well on wilds computer it doesnt work better even if it is usb .
