Its a waste, honestly.
Performance, it cant really be measured. Because the thing with the card is that when you do not have one certain features will just not be on.
What the big thing with these though is that the physics engine in the game MUST be coded to run the PhsX SDK. If its not, no performance benefit will be seen at all.
Prices I think place it around $200, there are a few out, no place that I know of that you can just go to and buy them online yet. It requires its on heatsink, and must be plugged into the PSU, like most current graphics cards.
To me, its seriously a waste of money right now. Until a lot of the smoke clears on all the physics stuff. Graphics cards actually can do physics acceleration better than the PhysX and there's be talk about MS making a DirectX like API, but for physics.
I really wouldnt put to much thought into one just yet.
