you feel like an idiot???
cmon man.. we all done it before... two weeks ago I changed cases and lost a hard drive in between.. come to find out... I put the ide cable in upside down!!! dont ask me how.. because theres a blocked pinhole so you cant do that.. but I DID IT!!! I was able to pull it back out, but broke the pin on the inside. I was able to open it up and solder it and get the hardrive to work again! I tranfered everything over to my brand spanking new 250gig sata drive and then toss it!! but anyway if theres a way to mess something simple up.. I CAN DO IT!!! don't feel like an idiot.. thats my job!!

LOL guys. Good story Skull.
No need to feel bad Nomad, we've all done stuff like that. You should have seen the PC that landed on my desk the other day. A friend brought it by. He had a guy build him a PC in exchange for some mechanical labor. Well, this guy built him one all right. LOL. The wiring looked like a nest for some sort of cyber bird or something. 2 HDs...1 of which mounted (because he used jumper setting that I can only imagine came to him in a dream). The CDRW drive was not showing..again bizarre jumper setup. I think he just had lots of extra jumpers and wanted to use them all! Oh..and the floppy cable wasn't in even half way. Oh...and then there was the one stick of ram that wasn't clipped at all. All that and running a fresh install of unpatched windows 2000 and no video drivers loaded! Wahoo! What a beauty. So take to heart Nomad....there are always dumber people to be found than yourself.  It always makes me feel better.
