Backup and Restore question.....

My media library is getting pretty sizable now. I was wondering if/what any of you use a backup package of some sort and what it is... what is the best or the best way?

I have been looking at picking up a copy of Norton Ghost to create drive images of my drives. Is this the best way? I know smiley lives by norton ghost and your input would be appreciated here also smiley on norton ghost. One problem I have been reading is that since norton took over Power Quest it's product has become unreliable. I want reliable over frills. I want to be able to make an image thru windows if that's possible and restore thru windows also if I can without having to boot up to a disk... I at least want the option.

My machine has an 80 gig sata drive as it's primary with 2 250 gig and one 400 gig as storage. I want to create an image of the primary and the secondary drives backing that up to DVD. Am I on track? Is there a better way? My OS is windows xp/media center.

Thanks guys. any help will be appreciated.

I just copy everything onto a new drive. My laptop is about 60gb and my external is 112: I plug the external in, highlight things in a given area, do control+c, go to the external drive, do control+v. Did that on my old desktop too when I had two drives in it, and I'll probably still do that when I get my new desktop built, if I have any money left or a job. You honestly don't need a program to back up stuff, and quite frankly I don't see why they've made any.

DMW I use norton ghost. I used it to backup a copy of my windows partition when I did a fresh install. this way I dont have to reinstall 9million things when I go to reinstal windows. I believe I have it on waste but I dont know for sure.
