I finally added
another gig of ram. happens to be the same exact ram I had got when I put this computer together so now I have 2 gigs of ram that are the same brand etc whoop.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145450 good thing I bought it when I did. its more expensive now than when I bought it (I paid $77). tested it out on an Iron Gator server and man is it awesome. 15 seconds to verify now for bf2 whoop. course thats sf which seems to always take longer than vanilla. Also I dont have any lag bouts whatsoever although I havent tried Warlord which is the laggiest map for me.

I know, I'd do the same but my motherboard is limited to only 3 sticks. My current sticks are 1.5 CAS, but still. I much rather have 2GB of decent speed than 1GB of ultra fast. Especially with games using so much these days.

well I can play warlord and any other map with no lag until I go to listen to my favorite radio station streaming (started doing that tonight lol). If I am streaming live music from www.wsnx.com I verify into vanilla in 15 seconds and into SF it takes 30s to veryify. However when I am listening to that and playing warlord/ghost town I get some (very minut and doesnt last long) lag. Vanilla I dont have this issue. I actually enjoyed listening to my favorite music while playing. Normally I like to hear whats coming up behind me but I have found I only do that when I am a sniper as any other time I am doing circles looking for anything and everything lol.

Well, streaming draws on your connection, the service probably uses lots of memory, I havent found any of those to be effiect, plus the browser will be taking up memory, etc. CPU time is hit, which probably causes the most loss in performance.

well tried warlord again today without the streaming and I still get lag on warlord. dont know why right now. only thing I can think of is PB crap.
