will the MFT cause system slow down if it is 98% full?

i adjust the size of the MFT according to diskeeper, its not that much space .... 1g or so out of my 80g laptop hard drive, and it did seem to increase performance.... just be carefull, cause the only way to size it down, is to do a full format of your drive. I personally love diskkeeper, it came with my intel motherboard as a utility, and now i have the full version of it on all my computers ... great tool imho
