if your keyboard wouldnt work after running it im thinking you had errors but I dont know how to proceed. Do you have onboard video/sound and a normal video/sound card?

Only on-board sound. And it's weird cuz it happens more often in HL1 than anything else

so only an onboard sound card and not a normal sound card? I am still thinking there are conflicting drivers somewhere. are you sure you upgraded D3 to the latest patch?

well, i didn't know d3 was still updating, but like i said hl1 and mods are crashing more often than anything else

Nvidia just released a beta driver for their graphics cards, 91.33.

DO NOT get the 91.31, this is causing many people some very serious issues, such as completely corrupting their Windows XP installs.

Ok, I've not downloaded it then. But have you got any other ideas? I'm out of em, unless it's possible that the overclocking is causing the trouble. Though, I'm not sure how I would reduce it just to see if that's the issue.
