setting up wireless zero configuration

I am wondering about setting up windows wireless zero configuration rather than my linksys wireless monitor as it seems to disconnect me alot lately and my wifes setup for using the zero configuration. Anyways when I open network connections folder it shows no network connections are setup???? I have tried finding and setting up wireless connection in network connections but nothing I do works. Any websites that someoen knows about (I only used microcraps) that can help me get that setup? I dont know how I have a network connection yet it isnt showing up in the network connections folder.

Just uninstall the linksys crap and windows should find it by itself... I set up at least 10 laptops and a few desktops in the past few months and everyone has connected to my wireless without any software installed! if you have linksys then you should have disabled zero cfg or you will get conflicts and disconnects.

zero cfg was disable . well it still is disabled but even so there is no wireless network shown as installed in the network connections box. I didnt think of uninstalling the linksys stuff. I may just uninstall everything to do with that wireless card and start from scratch. heck even my wired card isnt being shown but I think I disabled that in my bios.

Blong, your connection dropping might be realted to having another PC using the wirless connection that is physically in between her PC and router. Sounds cheesey, and they say it shouldn't matter, but well it does.

actually they are right next to each other . makes sense though because both computers lose it at the same time and it normally only happens within a few minutes of playing bf2 and then doesnt happen again lol.
