Anapod is the way to go Spooky, you have to buy it which I know sucks since you are in between jobs, but in the end it will save you a ton of headaches and you can get away from the crappy *** iTunes (I have mac and pc's and like em both but iTunes is horrible)

Also, your ipod will still work with iTunes and you can plug it into a mac and have it work just fine as well. I move mine back and forth from my PC to the Mac with out issues.

When you install itunes on a PC it does ask if you want it to sync or to manually move files. My wife has one and I selected manually move files. That way we can put what we want on it when we want it on the device.

Well I paid for and aquired Anapod and transfered all my songs to my PC but 90 percent of them come up as unplayable MMA files. WTF do I do now?

Is this where I reinstall Itunes?

I was hoping I wouldn't need to use that crap anymore.

I am leaving my IPOD connected even though it is hot as hell and going to bed. 4:30am.

Weird... try disconnecting the iPod, instal iTunes and see what it makes of the .mma files. I'm assuming there is a mix of file types or are they all mp3's? You can try appending .mp3, .m4a etc based on what they were. Are the file sizes correct?

Good luck!
