Ars Technica MacPro Review
Pretty good review from a reliable source for those interested in Macs. Ummm.... I'd like to leave the Mac bashing out of this one.

Give me a better graphics card for the introduction price and then you'll have me sold, oh and double the memory please!
I feel dirty, just yesterday I actually recommended a MacBook to someone. Oh so dirty.

Not sure why they are going with the 7300 for the base, but I would take the upgrade to the 1900xt 512mb.
For the ram, I have never understood why apple starts their systems with such low ram, everyone I know upgrades the ram in their mac first. I guess Apple knows that their ram is 2x - 3x the cost of what it should be and they are trying to be nice by letting you buy it else where :P
yeah right :P
Harb, got my dual 1.8 the other day that we talked about

I fully agree about the ram and vid card Soul, classic Apple. To bring the price down they minimize the ram. We always buy third party ram for our Mac's.
Congrats on the dual 1.8 Soul, should do the job just fine
Oh, I bet you must feel really dirty Chem

I really wouldnt have posted that one, the Ars Technica one is a good review, a data sheet with biased over tones is not a good review.
Its obvious they like the Mac more just by their selection of "best in class" software. They also fail to understand the fact that on a PC every program you could ever want is out their in some form in open source, much more than their is for Mac.
They also seem to think the OSX has never had a trojan, virus, or secruity issue ever, which again is just simply not true.

Actually OS X has had no viruses or Trojans released into the wild.
I'll agree though that upon further review the site does come across as being a tad (ok, a lot) biased.

Every review is biased, it just comes down to how well it is written if you pick up on it or not.

sigh... I'm thinking you meant 'worm' not 'trojan' but incase you didn't..
http://www.securityfocus.com/brief/142 - at the bottom note: "Update: removed "proof-of-concept" from the article title, as the Trojan/worm was found in the wild. "
