Howard Stern to Sirius
Was curious if anyone else is planing following Howard Stern to Sirius this January? I'm a fan of his show in the mornings, although it seems most people either love him or hate him.
Hopefully Sirius will become available soon in Canada, I know that it's rumored.

dah i used to get bored after 10 min listening or watching his shows. just me though . glad someone likes him hehe.
my thought on sirius is I have satalite at home that if i wanna listen to music whatever without commercials I just change a channel. If im in the vehicle i can change the station . not worth $10/month in my eyes but thats me .

I had XM for 2 yrs in my old truck and I LOVED it. I actually miss it. The sound quality is superb and the selection is great too. There were 4 stations at the time that played music that I liked and couldn't find on a radio station.
It was also great when I was out in the desert offroading. I also had signal and clear great sound. I was doing mostly consulting back then so I was on the road a fair amount and $10/mo was definitely worth it.
No I live 9 miles from my office and 1 mile from the GF.... I don't drive much, but I do have an in dash 6 disc and I will run through those fast. I do miss very much my XM and I think I will put it back in my next vehicle.

I thought the samething until I tried it, unless your listening to Sirius on Dish Network, there is no comparison. The standard Music channels on Dish & Direct can't be compared with XM and Sirius.

I'm not a huge fan of Stern, but I do catch his show from time to time on my 4 mile trip to work..
I got my wife XM last year for her birthday, she is a freelance graphic designer and works out of the house, so she wanted something else to listen to beyond the normal crap on the airway.
She loves and listens to it everyday.

I purchased Sirius about 8 months ago because of Howard Stern. It is one of the best investments I made these days. There is so much more that Sirius radio offers that regular radio doesn't offer..specialty, news, sports, several music channels, etc. You can even listen to Sirius on the internet.
Not too mention I can drive all over the country without any interruptions. Very nice in AZ, where everything is spread out.

Airtran has Sirius for free on their flights. Bring your own standard headphones or they'll sell you a pair to keep for $3.- I really like it.
Besides that I'm about 20 min from work, so not worth the monthly fee right now.

One thing most people don't realize is that Dish Network broadcasts 60 channels of Sirius.
