Its Official HD DVD Is Dead
Officially its over, Wal-Mart has sent out the notice.
Wal-Mart dumps HD DVD to back Blu-Ray
On top of that there are rumors of Toshiba itself dumping HD DVD soon. Likely in order to simply move on, harsh short term but likely good long term move for the company. Guess I feel slightly bad for those who bought into HD DVD, but that's what happens in a format war.

Boy, this has not been a good week for HD DVD. I agree, it could be over.
