Rethink my opinion? Please don't do my thinking for me ok? I'm well aware of digital downloads TYVM. When downloads are on a par with Blu-Ray AND my ISP doesn't traffic shape or cap my monthly downloads AND the average consumer can get the downloads on to their HD DVD without needing to be a geek then we'll talk. Best bet for that right now would be the Apple TV but that's an Apple product. I'm not sure who you have more of a hate on for though, Sony or Apple?

No games on the PS3? Oh please stop banging that drum already. That's nothing but 360 fanboism.... Both systems have good libraries.

FYI here is a link re the 360 failure rate

Xbox 360 failure rate at 16 percent? - Engadget

I'd be interested to see a similar link in regards to your 80 percent PS3 usage.

As far as "I told you so" weren't you the one that said HD would win?
dont need a link. Its on Sony's relations division that shows that info. I never said HD DVD would win. I said whomever Walmart choses will win. There are no good games out for the ps3 right now other than maybe MGS.

as for apple vs Sony I hate Sony wwaaayy more than I hate apple and I really dont hate apple. If Mac's werent so expensive I would get one but its so much cheaper to just build a windows pc(well ok a linux pc but you get the picture).

I fully expect it to over take the Xbox 360 in game console sales within the next year world wide.
That's not quite what I said. I believe the quoted price range for the Sony Blu Ray players was $307-$386...so, no, I want them to pay me between $14-$93 to own one. I haven't forgiven Sony for the root kit fiasco. It might be worth noting that I still haven't forgiven Apple for terrible customer service that I got from them in 1981 and haven't purchased a thing from them since then.

...and no, I have no interest in either the PS3 or the Xbox (or the Wii, for that matter). I do not have any unfilled niches into which they would fit.

A month or three ago I posted that Blu Ray will be of interest to me when I can get a Blu Ray burner (preferably not from Sony, but it would still gall me that they would get royalties) for my PC for $79.95 (or less) and blank media is less than a buck. The apparent fact that Blu Ray has won the HD wars hasn't changed this.

lmao. Wow that puts much less credit in your sources now Blong, some loser asked a Walmartie(kind of like a carnie) about the future of Blue Ray. lol.
