Pink Floyd

I've never seen them, was slow to appreciate them,
I've only The Wall and Dark Side in vinyl, and I imagine
the lack of Roger Waters is significant (and maybe
inspiring to the other members?), but none-the-less,
I present to you a great video performance of the band
recorded recently, and it may have the best light show I've
ever seen as well, one that could rival the greatness in
length I have just managed on this sentence:

YouTube Video

They've got a 2 DVD set that I purchased awhile back. I believe it's called "Pulse". I was impressed but then I've been impressed by this group since the '70s. There's been a couple of stinkers but for the most part just about any album you pick up will be an auditory treat. Two hints...earphones and loud. No additional mind altering substances required.

Absolutely Amazing...

I saw Pink Floyd back in the 80's in Montreal in the old Forum. One of the best shows I ever saw. The video above is a perfect setting for them: huge concert area with lots of room for all the effects. (the Forum was relatively small compared to this). The show I saw did have Roger Waters, and though he is the spritual and creational father of Pink Floyd, replacing him in the line up musically does not seem to have impeded their performance.

I am still miffed at my parents for not letting me go see the Wall concert: I was living in Holland at the time and the show was so huge it was hard to move so they played mutiple concerts in a single location: the closest one to me was in Germany and my mom was not going to put her teenage son on a train to Bonn (I think?) to go see some rock band...

Great video!

I wanted to see them so bad when they played the shoe, but I ended up having to work :/

I hope that maybe they will do one last tour, but it appears that is not likely.

Awesome music.

Saw them at Mile High in the 80s. Excellent show.

Make sure to check out The Wall movie and the follow-up album The Final Cut, classic tripindicular.
Also, Roger Waters' Amused to Death and Pros & Cons of Hitchhiking are both very good post-floyd albums.
