movie? not sure that i saw any as a kid, though i did read some horror books (written at an elementary school level). creature from the black lagoon scared the **** outta me

My first horror movie I saw was Friday the 13th III...in 3d! I can't remember how old I was but that was my first R movie and to have it in 3d was a plus.

The first horror film that I saw that truly scared the crap out of me was The Thing (the one with Kurt Russell...I couldn't sleep for a week!).

Yeah I remeber the creature feature and the late night saturday night horror moives. But the One I consider my first horror movie and the first "R" (age 14)rated movie I ever saw at a movie theater was "Jaws" I thought it was soooo cool to be going to an "R" Rated movie Oh I was so Scared.....



Saw it on TV a few weeks back and thought what was I scared of???? Of course the shark looked a lot more real then too. Still a trasuered memory.

Without a doubt the first horror movie that I recall that scared the crap out of me was the Excorcist. My father took me to see it when I was in 5th or 6th grade under the protest of my mom.

I couldn't sleep with the door closed in my bedroom for two months afterwards....

To this day, the movie still scares the crap out of me...

Friday the 13th(1st one), I remeber wandering into our basement as a kid, and saw parts of it, that bothered me a bit.
I remember one of the Star Trek origianl series episodes freaked me right out! Made me run straight up the stairs, I have no idea what it was about now, but It scared the crap outt me!!
I do remeber the Horror movie marathons that went on at Halloween, if I turned off the sound, I could watch them.! It was simply the audio that scared the crap outta me.
Twilight Zone is another that scared me alot as a kid, but I watched it
At a sleepover at a friends Creepshow scared me, the monster in the crate.
Again, no idea what was first, but these are a few I can remember. There is one other movie i clearly remeber scaring me for a long time, but I can barely remeber what it was about It was very old, maybe a Price movie. Hope i can remember.

MeTaL, that episode had to be either "The Trouble With Tribbles" or "The Tricksters Of Triskellion". Ok, I'm kidding about the Tribbles but the other was a definitely Halloween themed episode.
