That is what I am counting on Chem, I have AGP 6800 now, but I have that AsRock MB that can do either, so when time comes I should be set. I will also look at the 940 pin add on card, but not sure on the cost and haven't checked reviews, I am guessing that by the time I am ready there will be some cheaper alternatives, well probably cheaper now

The deal Erad just posted is really nice, the E4300 is an outstanding budget OCer.

You've convinced me on the video card Chem, thank you.
I'm still going round and round on the mobo chipsets. It doesn't yet appear to be one that jumps out and says I'm the best.
Now I'm looking at this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131025
I've got a couple of weeks before I have the money so we'll see what happens:-).

Might have to see what else they have when I am in Houston tomorrow...

Well, I went and got it. Can't wait to get home Friday night to install it! If all goes well, I'll have an ASUS mATX Mobo, AMD64 3200+, and a PNY nVidia 6600T 128MB AGP card up for sale at a low Combo price. EDIT: SOLD!

Mike, this system is nearly 3 years old! or is it 4, I can't remember. I mean I did put a BFG 6800GT OC in it a year and a half ago and that's got me to here, but this system will not run UT3 very well, I'm afraid, and there is just no where to go with it any longer as far as games go. I'll keep it intact, well, might move a HDD over as a storage drive, and keep it in my network, but, as much as I really don't want to spend the money on a ground up build, this may be my last chance to do it without going deeper into debt (I'll be getting a bonus at work in a few weeks). This is still an AGP system and all you guys have moved on to PCIe. I'm afraid Vista is inevitable and I will need something to handle the DX 10 games in the future, not to mention Hi-Def video. It hurts because right now I have two puters running nicely and this will make three. I'm thinking of turning the P4 2.4 gig into a HTPC machine, the problem there is I won't be able to afford a big new shiny TV any time soon .

Sure, you can play it Blong but not at HD resolutions, correct?
My problem is that I have a hair up my butt over the cable companies. I think we all screwed up big time. TV used to be free and you had to watch ads. Now, in my opinion, the way the cable companies keep raising prices, it's expensive as hell, and we STILL have to watch ads! Oh yeah, if you want to get rid of the ads you can get HBO and pay even more, jeeez. On top of that, if I pay $80 or $90 a month I can get 2,000 channels or whatever, and watch only the Speed Channel, the one I really want. Sure I can get the basic package....and not get a single channel that I would be willing to pay a little bit for. It irks me no end.
When my cable bill hit the $70 mark last year, for nothing more than to get the least package that offered the Speed Channel, I'd had it. I took the box and all down to the people and said this was it. When the girl asked me why, I told her. "Well, do you want one of our discounts for 6 months?", she said. That did it. Hey, if they can give discounts for 6 months, they sure as hell can just offer the service for a reasonable price without making a guy go down there and do a little freakin dance every 6 months for their amusement. Grrrrrrrr, can you tell this is a sore point?:-)
So far my one man boycott hasn't done a damn thing to remedy the situation that I can tell, but I haven't given up either:-).
