I'd recommend getting a Teraflex lift. Short arm will be fine for you.
JK 3” Suspension System w/Full FlexArm System with shocks | TeraFlex Suspensions
That's MSRP pricing, you can find a reseller that will sell it cheaper. I got lucky, my 6inch long arm kit went up $516 in price but I was able to find a reseller who would give me the original price. Teraflex is an awesome company, great customer service. I lost part of my sway bar disconnect, they sent me the replacement for free, inc shipping. Awesome company.
The nice thing about TF kits, is everything is upgradeable, so if you want to step up to a Long Arm in the future, you can do so.
You could go super cheap and do a 2 inch lift - spacer or coil, some shocks, and pick up some flat fenders. That setup will have you running 35's. Some guys have fit 37's under that, but I wouldn't recommend that since you are new to wheeling and only have a D30 up front.
The RE 3.5 kit will be a good option, I know someone that has it and runs 33's happily.

Full Traction makes good stuff too, but I've heard their customer service sucks, which iiisss important. Stuff breaks, you want to get parts replaced.
Full Traction 3" Ultimate Lift Kits for 07-09 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited JK 4 Door - Quadratec
and finally..
AEV purchased Nth degree, builder of some super awesome high end products. They put out a 3.5 and 4.5 inch kit

You should really join up on jkowners.com there are some canadian guys on there that probably could help you find a reseller in country.
Everyone is knowledgeable too, it's an offshoot of pirate4x4.com. Stay away from jk-forum.com as that place is run purely for sponsorship money. You cannot mention a product that doesn't sponsor the site. I have some Poly performance parts and I could get banned for mentioning them as part of my build.
Back to lift kits, stay away from Skyjacker, Rancho, Fabtech, those type of companies.
