I have been trying to get my cholesterol down. My HDL was 39, LDL was 105, Triglycerides were hovering on 400. Well I was on Red Yeast rice and Niaspan. Niaspan is perscription and red yeast is OTC. well with red yeast it dropped my trigs down to 180. This is without exercise. I then started exercising and stopped taking the Red Yeast Rice because its something very hard to get. Doctor also didnt like me taking it due to its not a truly "pure" drug.
Well I got tested again 3 months after it dropped to 180 and it shot back up to 400 even though I had been exercising every other day. Just jogging about a mile to a mile and a half. So now to the final. Since christmas I have been running 5 days/week. I started at a mile and a half and am now upto 4 miles. prob wont do more than 4 but only time will tell. I was also put on a new medication (lopid) to replace red yeast rice. so taking that along with niaspan my stats are now...

total I think was 118 but I dont remember right off hand. It used to be like 240. my sugar went from 94 to 96 but thats not bad either so... Oh and im back under 200lbs again
