Promising MS Treatment

I know at least 1 OF has a family member with MS, I saw this on the local news this morning and thought you might be interested.

Early results suggest that Neurovax might be able to treat MS in both early and late stages.

Wow. Sounds like it might be some good news. Too late for my dad, but it's nice to read about treatments for others knowing what they have to go through with this disease.

Is there another OF that has a family member with MS? If so, and if you want someone to talk to, I'd be happy to listen and share experiences. Or perhaps you meant me, MA.

Geez!! Sorry I missed this one MA. Been a little out of contact lately. It certainly sounds like a godsend if it does pan out. Kim is just now recovering from a relapse which usually occurs once a year normally. Her neurologist was all over it though...5 days of IV steroids, MRIs and a whold battery of tests. Good news is she's not getting any worse. Apparently the Avonex is doing it's job. There's supposedly better drugs available but the doc doesn't want to change medications when the current one is working. Avonex doesn't repair the damage but prevents the damage from getting worse. This new drug sounds like a winner and I'll show it to Kim.

PS: The MRIs actually show that my wife has a brain!! BONUS!
