Delays, Delays.......

Well, we were supposed to fly off to Disney today for a week but we decided to hold off due to Hurricane Wilma. Talked to my sister who lives in that area (and thus is used to hurricanes.....) she said it sounded like a category 1 for there, but in any case expect several days of nasty rainy weather.

Disney was offering full refunds for anybody arriving today through Monday because of the hurricane.

So we delayed things for a week, cost more on airfaire and had to rebook where we stayed at Disney, but overall things worked out well. Kids were not happy but hey what's one more week.

Both Disney and Airtran were great to deal with, super customer service. Airtran even waved the flight change fee which was great. (though we used a travel agent which make had all the priority phone numbers, was glad we did)

Looking at the news I feel pretty fortunate just having to rebook the trip. Minor inconvenience compared to being stuck in the hurricane while on your vacation or living there.

Where you staying? We stayed at the Polinesian(sp) a couple of years back. Was fun, but the food was outrageously expensive. I would eat off of Diseny grounds if you can Have fun when you go

Staying at Animal Kingdom. We got the "Disney Dining" meal plan with it so we don't have to worry about buying food.
