Time to reformat
Well it's been a couple of years, with no problems, now things are starting to bog down and act funny. So I hope I have save everything I need to and I'll catch you on the other side I hope

No matter how good you are with a PC,
2 years of running, (un)installing, and
etc's is a long time. I'm sure you'll feel the difference.

Good question, what are you using for an OS? Shouldn't have to reimage after 2 years with 2K or XP.

I format my software/windows drive about every two months or so. It makes the system nice and fast and helps rid it of things that have simply slipped by me. Though it makes life a lot easier that I have a second hard drive that I store my media (pictures, music etc) on.

Have fun MA! I've got to do the same thing to one of my 'puters downstairs. Seems the kids don't have time to shut it down the normal way. The power switch is so much faster. We'll see how much they like their superfast shutdown method when they lose the 500 MB of digital images they took at high school, field trips, sleep-overs, etc. I'll just hide them for awhile but tell them they're unrecoverable. Hopefully, they'll learn...not likely though. <sigh>

Well I'm back, just the basics so far, but it is running smooth now I am running XP home addition and things were running fine until just recently, so my adage is to not mess with something thats not broken. I partitioned the HD into 2 separate sections this time OS on one and everything else on the other. XP SP1 only took 41 updates to get is current.
