Thanks Everyone.
Dudio: No choppers. Never really got interested, and now they are beyond my reflex/skill set. I like to fly the wings.
Harbinger: I haven't flown these myself yet, but they all have been flown by others. All RC planes I own I fly. I do have some favorites that make me very nervous when I fly them, and have sworn on a couple of occasions after some close calls that I would turn them into museum pieces, but the point for me is in the flying.
Chem: Your turn will come, just give it some time.
Model airplanes have been my hobby since I was 10 years old. I built lots of gliders and rubber band jobs. My dad and I flew control line (U control). We didn't have a lot of money so everything was done on the cheap, but we still managed to build and fly a few planes.
I didn't get into serious (modern) radio control until 1989. After both parents passed away by 2002, I got the "bug" again. As you can see, I am an True Old Fart. I never had any kids, and everything I own is paid for, so I have been indulging myself the last couple of years and buying/building planes that I only dreamed of when I was a young'un. I don't know how many healthy years I have left, so I decided I was going to enjoy my hobby more seriously. I really like the scale and sport planes the best. Even though they are awesome, helicopters, 3D planes, electrics, and jets don't interest me that much. I like aircraft that fly on a wing(s) above stall speed, and have nitro and gasoline engines (I love those engines). Hehe, so much for a quick reply.......
