Well it doesn't look like I'll be making it out to the server today. The storm we had yesterday was a killer. We lost a 40 foot spruce tree, one of our out-buildings collapsed (it was over 100 years old and made of hewn logs), we got enough rain to flood the fields and underground phone lines and my modem took a hit (even though it was connected through an APS uninteruptable power supply. I went last night and bought an internal USRobotics modem, installed it and tried it out. Best I can do right now is 14.4 if it connects to my ISP (apparently they're having problems too). I guess I've gotta wait until the phone lines dry out which may take a while. You guys have fun playing Unreal. I'll be cleaning up the yard. I hate having to remove the tree. My grandfather planted those trees many moons ago.

Hmmm, there is biggely bad ping today. 300-400 range.

I'm back to 48k for now. I thought that ping problem was just mine.

This area got hit hard. Roads washed out, bridges gone, power and utility poles tipped over. Still have electricity (hydro) though (trying to pick up on some Canadian slang) which is pretty amazing. We had water pouring down the chimney and walls at one point. The people (Sears) who put on our vinyl siding didn't seal above the windows.

My guess it that the ping is due to the BF2 demo being on the FTP server (same connection as the game server). Lots of peeps DL that one...

i saw it on the radar and was wondering if that red blob that sat there for hours was on top of you barney. also saw a flash flood warning for you guys on the TV. hope everything works out up in those parts, and am very glad im not on a golf course up there

I was there alone for about 15 min this morning about 9 CST no one showed so I went to Target Blong have you updated to the current patch? 226 I think, but I'd have to look.
