Concert finally happened Sunday Night here in Omaha at the Qwest Center. It rocked. Man those guys can Jam. He played about 60/40 of new and old... I went into the concert hoping he would play more old but after hearing his new stuff from his new album stand up I was impressed even more.
The guys pretty much wing'd the whole show with sometimes having up to a minute in between songs deciding what to play. It was however worth it all in the end. The show was 3 hours long... I go to DMB every year down in KC at the verizon but missed him this year. Fortunately he did a winter tour this year and made Omaha Qwest one of his stops... I am so glad he did.
I kid you not though... I was barely able to walk out of the place by the end of the night... drinking double jack/cokes can do that to you.
Our night was made even better as my sister works at one of the casino's in Council Bluffs called Ameristar. She got us an Octagon Suite there for free to spend the night. The room normally goes for like 350 a night. Has it's own Jacuzzi in the master bedroom that overlooks the river outside the windows.

Plus she got us on the VIP limo service to and back from the concert. We were riding with all the High rollers in that limo. Most of which were tank'd already. They invited us into the casino suite at the Qwest where we got to gorge on all the free food and booze. :P after the opening act ended though we were caught without the proper tickets and told we had to leave... the VIP guys kept telling the security to let us stay but they wouldn't... dicks... but didn't really matter cuz I had 7th row seats anyway. We got down to our seats just before DMB came on.
If your not a DMB fan... become one.

These guys rock. My whole night was great listening to my favorite artist and being with my best friend. My wife. She was even sick yet and barely had a voice and still went... what a trooper!
