New UT2004 patch

WARNING: This patch seems to cause issues with the Excessive mod. So far what has been found is when playing Excessive with a patched client, the link gun stops working (get an out of ammo message) and adrenaline power ups no longer work. Again, this seems to be only an excessive issue. (note added by FD)

it *appears* to be online-compatible with older versions, but havent confirmed it yet....

hopefully that cures the problems i was having. i could not use adrenaline and at least one other person on the server couldnt either, and on the onslaught map i didnt have the link gun, which is pretty important in ONS

i had the patch installed, and the other person who was having trouble also had the patch installed, while it was the older version on the server, so now that they are all the same, maybe it will all work properly. wonbt have a chance to try it til later tonight, have a work xmas party to attend tonight first...

Server has been patched.

I also have an Xmas party to attend tonight so won't be on till later.

I did "test" the server with both my client and the server patched and all seems well

well, patching the server didnt help. still cant use the adrenaline power-ups, or the link gun in ONS. the link gun gives me an out of ammo message, only weapon that doesnt work. the trouble started as soon as i patched my client, worked fine before that :\

Well that sucks Turf. Lemme see if I have the same problems on ONS, I only tried CTF and excessive CTF yesterday.

Seems to be an excessive mod issue. Link gun worked fine in regular ONS. Tried several game types, and in regular weaps the link gun worked fine, but as soon as you switch to excessive the link gun stops working....

Need to check out the adrenaline thingy yet. I'll do some digging around see if anybody else has these problems.
