I realize there have been former SS2 threads, but here's a new one.

Wife got me SS2 for Christmas. My computer system is such I must run it on medium video settings, so a little compromised, but runs pretty smooth.

This one is really great. Only problem is I started out playing in "normal" difficulty setting, and couldn't get though the one village where you had to protect the chief. Had to go to "easy" mode. I must be getting old. With some difficulty, especially in the run or die segments, I have gotten to the big battle coming into Mental's domain. On "easy" mode, I struggled for an hour, and still can not get past this first opening battle. OMG they throw everything at you in mass quantities. This whole game, I am amazed at how many monsters you have to defeat to get to the next level. If it weren't for the F6 quick save and F9 quick load, I would be nowhere. This is lots of fun, but tough. If you have carpal tunnel syndrome, don't buy this one.

did you update it to the newest update (I started a thread with the new update its 2.066 i believe). There is a bug where the game reverts back to normal difficulty setting if you have it set to anything different when you save and come back. I am beating the game in normal difficulty without much of a problem however I dont play a whole lot

. The bug is supposed to be fixed in the newest patch about it going back to normal difficulty from easy.

Didn't know that. When I do a load on a saved game it says i'm in easy mode. So, if I do a quick save, then it actually becomes normal??

I'll get the patch and try it. Thanks.
