New machine too fast for UT engine?
Hi all...

So, I installed Undying on the Doomsday machine. Like Unreal, it's insanely fast. Tried messing with gamespeed, vsync (makes it choppy)...any ideas?

The opening scene doubled up on sound. I'm wondering if the dual core processor (X2 4200+) just screws up the rendering. ANyone else had this problem?

Also, I can't get Nocturne (non Unreal engine) to install at all.

I read somewhere on here about disabeling the dual core for the games... i'm too lazy to find it.. your on your own speedy!!

You dont "disable" dual core.

You set the programs affinity in task manager.

I'm with Chem. I had trouble with my dual core till I installed the drivers. If they don't work for a particular game use the affinity setting procedure above.

Make sure you pick the right driver for your processor, overall list is here:

If you end up setting the affinity by hand you unfortunately have to do this every time after starting the game....little annoying but no big deal.
