FYI - oldfart.com is 9 years old this month

I just noticed that I had registered oldfart.com on 7/18/1997, which would have been just after we formed the gaming clan Old Fart

So with next year being our 10th year of existance we should have a huge spring lan party to celebrate!

I remember it well. Lots of fun. The time just before the official formation of Old Fart when Smiley had a private server up was just a riot. The Online gaming (at least for the first OFs) was relatively new, which made it even more exciting, and we were ALL HPB with modamns. Very few people had high speed connections in the beginning. That really leveled the playing field out, and gave us the traditional excuse of Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaag. Damit @#@$@. Of course the Lag always hit just when you thought you were going to, or thought you were going to do something spectactacular........but when you unlagged, you found yourself dead....a condition I found myself in most of the time anyway, lag or no, especially at the hands of Farty.

Don't take me wrong, everything is fun today too, but those were heady days. Get home at six, game till 11, almost 7 days a week.

Just think of the changes in the computers we went through over the last 10 years.

For those that don't know, I left my mouth get ahead of my a$$ with one of the best guy's in this clan quite a few years back.... Do I regret it?? YES I DO. And the Boss was there to help keep ME in line, THANKS.
Most of ya know who I'm talking about, and I still LUV him too!!!!!!!!!!!!
