Leather Conditioner
Ok BD's post about putting leather conditioner on the jacket he is sending me got me thinking. I should also apply it to my saddle bags and boots because neither are water proof anymore. Does Wal*mart sell the leather conditioner or do you guys recommend I buy some conditioner from some place like the harley shop that is 3 blocks from my house (yes we have a harley shop just down the road lol)? I thought I have seen conditioner somewhere at wal*mart but I could be wrong . Also do you guys keep a rag somewhere on your bike (for me it would be saddle bags) to wipe your seat off when it rains?
*edit should this go in the auto forum since we have been talking about bikes lately lol?

My daughter bought me a jar from the local shoe store.
Lasts for ever. the jar that is.
I always kept rain gear in the bags. and also some cloth mostly for polishing, but sure it would work if I got wet.
And, yes, it's in the mail!!
Prolly get it Thursday???????

Best leather cleaner is Murphy Oil Soap.
Best leather conditioner is Lexol.
All the ritzy horsey people use this to keep their expensive leather goods in like new shape.

I second the Lexol thing.
You could also use Neatsfoot oil.

Murphy Oil is marketed for many things, but is still the best leather cleaner, and that was its original purpose in days of yore.
