Doom3-Send message to fleet?

I know we had this discussion in the past but I'm pretty sure that thread is now unavailable. Thanks to Idoc's suggestion, I'm now able to play D3 and have reached the point in the game where I send the message or not. If I remember correctly, it really doesn't matter whether I send the message or not 'cause if I don't do it some one else will. So the question is...does it make any difference whether I do it or not? Does the storyline change?

HL2 is next on the agenda when I finish this.

Uh.. just some of the dialog changes depending on the decision but not really anything else.

Thanks Fleshie, now I'd better be off and go save Mars. I'll try to avoid those little dune buggies, but then maybe they'll need a push.
