Microsoft Vista System
AMD Athlon
X2 dual core processor
2.4 GHz per processor
4600+
2048MB of memory
320GB hard drive
DVD burner with light scribe
on board GeForce (junk)

19" HD LCD wide screen
720p HD

This monitor is unfriggin real.....
I just need a big Vid card
This has that GeForce 128Mg onboard, no good for gaming

Does my post look better???

I love ya for buying an HP rig! At least you didn't buy a Gateway PC! Their retail units are using Modded BX, not ATX boards, which makes future upgrades a beotch!

Yes, your post looks FASTER for sure, but better? Maybe that Gateway Monitor is distorting things...

Neato! Besides the graphics the system has some nice specs and once you get a new graphics card should be able to easily fly through some games.

I'm actually going to be buying a Gateway monitor myself. I'm going to be going just a bit bigger however and go up to the 22" inch.

I like my HP, Now pick up a Antec PS and an ATI X1950 and that wide screen will look even better than it does now

Just to say, I hope you purchased a DVI cable for the monitor as well. Most OEMs tend to not pack them in on their monitors, which is rather annoying. It amazes how I'm going to lay out $400 for a new monitor and they won't include a $10 cable.

Actually you won't need a very expensive card with that system to get some decent framerates. An Nvidia 7600 or so should do it. Of course, if you are trying to plan for all the future games then the cost goes up.

I wouldn't call say a $200 X1950 Pro that expensive, I'd personally wait out a bit for Nvidia or AMD (depending on how long Nvidia waits to release mid-range parts, and if AMD launches the series soon) to release their mid-range DirectX 10 cards. Should help extend a bit more life out of the system and not but maybe month or two wait.
