Vista Netowkorking ?
I have tried everything I see to allow sharing of folders in vista but am getting no where. I even made it so you dont need a password to logon to the machine. But even if I share a folder the vista machine shows no files shared and no other machine can connect to it. Anyone figure out how to properly share a folder with vista yet? I am getting kinda frustrated.

no, that just stops the firewall service so you can test. Once you reboot or type net start sharedaccess the firewall is back on.

If it works, you just need an exclusion on your Windows firewall config.

ok got it. didnt realize you have to go to properties then click the share tab then share folder box. I was just right clicking and going to share. It works now (no it isnt being blocked by the firewall).
