Achilles or Eaglerapids: Question

What was that guitar software you guys were using again? I'm over visiting friends this weekend and one of them is quite into playing guitar. (He just bought a Gibson 356 custom shop). He's interested in what you are doing.

Quick answer before I go. Eagle and I both have black variax 300's it models 15 different guitars. Les Pauls, tele's, strats, Several resophonic. read dobro and national steel. Several Martin acoustics..D18, d28 six and 12 string > Back to the less used electrics. Rickenbacker 6 and 12. gretcsh several models. A couple of jazz guitars. Gibson super 400 and 335. A banjo and a sitar and the old danelctro like Page used for slide.

We also both use a wonderful little modeling amp from Line6 called Guitar port... It blows me away . From MEsa Boogie through the old plexi's, Fender twin.. Engl power amps .. on and on.

I dont know if Eagle has Workbench which is software for the Variax that allows you to do altered tunings without messing with the tuners. Also virtually put on a capo or switch the single coil fenders for a PAF hummbucker.. or danelectro lipstick... on and on and on possiblilties. ALL of which are believeable in their characteristics.

All the above with sound clips form each of the above can be heard in the clips linked form this site. ( I dont like the processing used for some of the metal clips but.. different taste right)

I still haven't gotten Workbench . If your friend is interested in recording his playing Guitar Port also works great in that regard. He will still need recording software but Guitar Port works very well as an interface to get the sounds into the computer.

what Eagle said. Any electric into the Guitar Port is a perfect interface for digital recording. It doesnt have to be a Variax.

The quality of recording is better than CD and guitar Port has effects in addition to the amps it models.
