Man opens fire at Omaha mall, killing 8 - Yahoo! News

A woman my wife works with at the hospital told my wife that her daughter was at the mall at the time of the shooting. She witnessed the one older guy getting shot in the head. What a site to witness.

that has to be a HORRIBLE thing for an adult to witness let alone a child. I cant imagine how a child will feel. I am thinking therapy would be needed for a while...

This is a horrible thing. My wife told me about it last night. None of my family were at or near the mall when it happened. I dont no anyone who works or was there at the time.

It's pathetic.
Hopefully no children were killed.
Unfortunately the shooter will not achieve his goal to become famous. He will merely add another digit to the statistic bolstering big brother's case to rewrite the 2nd amendment.

actually he is famous because its known throught the world now and now you have the tree huggers all over it saying "If america didnt have guns this wouldnt have happened". What little they truly know.

I dont consider him famous, but I refuse to give him the credit. The news said he had some mental issues (Duh). He is simply a murderer and I feel for the families that lost loved ones because he was a coward and didn't have the balls to go ask for help or confront someone who could fight back. At least he is dead and we dont have to go through a trial. As for the anti gun folks, my guns never hurt anyone and the gun used for this crime wouldn't have either if it wasn't used by a criminal. Taking guns away wont stop things like this.

I should have said he is somewhat famous in that now everyone knows what his name is. Other than that he is still a nobody. I have pointed out to more than 1 person that those places that have banned guns, like australia and UK, have had other crimes like rape increase something like 300%. What the fail to also see is that they still have murder crimes done with guns because laws wont stop criminals. Uk had something like 2000 deaths by gunshot last year yet they outlawed guns. They had like 20,000 deaths at knife point (not exact figures but I am pretty sure they are close to those #'s). I dont know how accurate wiki is on this topic but those are what I found on wiki.

Hmmm funny I cant even remember the guys name?? So Famous I don't think he is, just some poor idiot who had nothing better to do but hurt people their are so many of those kind of people now a days.
